Not sure Stefan actually followed Newcastle during the Champions League campaign, they didn’t struggle because of the amount of games they struggled because the players picked up long term injuries within the first couple of Champions League matches. Those injuries continued and reoccurrd long after Newcastle were knocked out the tournament too.
Something that has now been identified as as overtraining in pre-season, it’s why they brought a new injury specialist and why they have had far fewer injuries throughout the season, despite making it deep into the FA cup and winning the Carabao Cup final.

The reason the Glazers used a leveraged buyout and saddled MU with 650 million of debt is because these kinds of people always put as little of their own money at risk as possible. Ratcliffe is the same but in addition he was suckered into buying a stake in MU without doing sufficient diligence and that money has largely vanished into the black hole that is MU's balance sheet.
Fact is Simon that if these guys asked you to meet them at Starbucks for coffee you would end up paying the bill.
