My youngest loves to read. Every birthday, Christmas & school holidays they want new books. I found book shops on eBay that sell like new books for a fraction of the cost.

I ditched TV in 2019. My daughter always said old people watch TV & I don’t like TV anyway so it went 6 years ago. I had already ditched News 2016.
I ditched Amazon & Supermarkets. I cook everything from scratch. I break my dishwasher tablets in half. I don’t have a tumble dryer. I don’t have central heating. Just a Woodburner & my wood is free. We all will eat out of date food & so do my animals. I do eBay & marketplace. I grow some of my own food. Always looking for more ideas. X

I love the idea of switching off things you're not using and do it when I can. I unplug the food processor and dvd player, because I so rarely use them and if it was up to me, I would turn off the tv and wi-fi router at night. No one needs extra EMF things floating around. Also I think a great thing that ties into that is only charge devices for as long as they need it. Mobile phones normally make a sound or show something on the screen to say they're fully charged, as do electronic tablets. What I was actually going to say regarding food is shop around if you have the shops and time to do so. I only go to Aldi for tins for the most part, but even the bread was cheaper as well as one or two other bits last time I went there. So that time I paid only 5.30 for a load of tins, a couple of packs of green beans, a loaf of bread and a big box of mushrooms. The only down side was that I had to get a taxi home because the bags were so heavy, so not entirely sure if that counts.

They say they'll cut Social security by 25% by 2030. So get in habit of living without the 25%
Take the 25% and save on cash part.og it. Part put into pre 1964 junk d
Silver coins. Put part into hoghest%a debts then the remaining put into good to store

I do not eat out for no reason whatsoever. I do not go out if i do not have business out there. I do maintenance around my house as much as i can/unless is electrical or can not fix something, then i hire someone to do it for me. I am pretty much minimalist. Watch/monitor my utilities. I microscope my money. I do not go grocery shopping without a list. I have fun or entertain myself by spot cleaning inside/outside my house.

Hello Vicky My odd saving trick is when using a discount grocery voucher I put the saved money into a jar rather than back into my purse. It is surprising how it mounts up as well as keeping you up to date on current prices. But of course this only works if you use cash

One lesson I've learnt from billionaires is to always put your money to work, and diversifying your investments. I'm planning to invest about $3ok of my savings in st0cks this year, and I hope I make profits.

my aunt was a very sensible, domesticated lady. "waste not want not" is what she used to say. she also taught us to purchase quality items and take good care of them, repair them if needed. this is mindful of the earth by avoiding throwing things away.

Being frugal is to be less dependent on the economic conditions.
I try to live within 30 percent of my monthly income – as per operational expenses.
No special tips – I just do not buy what I do not need

For those of you that loves houseplants and coffee, use your coffee grounds or left over coffee to make a “tea” and water your plants with it, or dump the grounds on different plants. The plants absolutely love the extra nitrogen and you don’t have to buy plant fertilizer.

At the age of 50 I had a total of $50,000 saved I finally realised I needed to save massively to retire before I died. I went back to how I lived in college and now at the age of 66 I just hit 1.2 million saved you can do it if I did. Now it will feel really strange to spend instead of saving!

One thing that a lot is pay everything with cash, no credit cards, no ATM. So the real money in your pocket is your limit, buy what you need.

I try to be intentional and frugal with my daily expenses. Sometimes though I catch myself thinking while I hold a big box of salted caramel pralines in my hand: who the hell am I saving this money for anyway? No kids, no rent, no car, no mortgage, no partner. Nothing. And then I take it home and drown my depression in it while binging on Netflix.

I shop at store for food and necessities – at the end of your receipt it tells you how much you saved- take that savings and put it into a savings account- it really adds up!!! 😃 1:00
