Theres no regulators on things in this country that are supposed to regulate. They take up title and receive funds and keep jobs but when its time to regulate they omit involvement in anything they are supposed to be handling. This all federal agencies, state regulators all of them. Nothing is what you think. You have to be very careful these days. Scams are everywhere.

What's the story with this Rick Shaffer fellow? What about the rest of the DA's office? "Criminal liability is difficult, if not impossible, to prove" Yeah, if you don't investigate, interview victims, collect evidence, build a case, etc. then everything is impossible to prove.
I would've already been put off of doing business with them the moment I saw the realtor's HEAVILY filtered photo on the sign. This isn't Instagram.
What planet is the DA from. Cotto free money from a bank for windows that he did not purchase nor install. This is fraud. I wonder if the DA has a connection with Cotto.
So the lesson here is – dont buy real estate in North Carolina. If you became a victim of a fraud – you are on your own. Remember that!
And people wonder why the faith within commissions and governments are waivering ethics and actual fairness. I agree with having her licensed being revoked for life. A ton of evidence, and two years? Unacceptable.
I have had a $50 rule for the last 30yrs. Rip me off for $49.99 or less? That will be my lesson. $50 or more? It will be your lesson and it will be more than $50 cost to whoever went in my pocket.
Now if i am that serious about $50…do you have any idea wtf would happen to someone who took over 100k from me? The wouldn't even be able to afford Goodwill underwear for 10yrs!!! Any and all of their assests would be evaporated. Not just once but over and over again until I either had my money or they were so destitute if they would suffer twice as much as I did.
so many red flags, who would trust a realtor that have their photoshopped picture on the sign, and black contractors are mostly scum. there should be more investigation into that because there are plenty on facebook market place claiming they're engineer, architecture, builder, contractor etc

There are so many scammers out there including family. People think because we don't have kids / grandkids and responsible we can be their ATM machine. Be careful out there. People will rob you blind and leave you sitting in the street

Wow…. 1.) submit a complaint to the NC state BAR against the county prosecutor
2.) file a civil complaint against the cotto’s
3.) file a complaint with NAR against the NC real state commission for failure to take appropriate action against cotto
