i downlaoded schwab with big plans to open a Roth IRA and buy some stocks and ETFs… i opened the roth account, told it to save my passwords and rememebrr my info, then went back a week later on payday to fund the account and it had forgotten my password and showed an error screen every time i tried to reset the password… im not that concerened really, this was gonna be a test to see how it compared to bitcoin… and so far bitcoin appreciates at about 100% per year for as long as ive been investing in it (over three years now), and has never ever lost my passwords or forgot my info… so im kinda over it… a roth is never gonna appreciate 100% a year and forgot all my info and screwed me over within the first week… hard pass…

I have Roth's in Charles Schwab and Fidelity. Schwab is best for beginners. It's the easiest to navigate. Fidelity is also great but a bit more busy and harder to navigate. Both have excellent customer service. Fidelity does crypto and also automatically moves unused funds to a money market fund.
Do you think bank failure and a brokerage failure are the same thing? Money in a bank belongs to the bank, so when they go under, without FDIC insurance, you get nothing. Stocks you buy with a brokerage are YOURS. If they go under, your investments get transferred to another brokerage. I don't understand the need to mislead people when I'm sure you know this.

I'm 59 and have been a long time Vanguard owner but it seems since it's father, Mr Jack Bogle passed away in 2019, they have been coming up with these little annoying fees like a $25 annual maintenance which is waivable if you have five million and/or chose e-delivery on documents with the second being easy for all so no big deal but then in mid 2024 they implemented a $100 fee for closing a brokerage account. Yes they are the pioneer in low fund fees but I have to admit as small as these fees are, I'm getting a bit irritated so I'm now leaning a bit more to Fidelity brokerage which I've also owned for the past three years and tend to like a bit more and no annoying fee for closing a brokerage account.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
