I have always thought this, but never really saw anyone say it. I prioritize my Roth IRA. But never understand how one can retire early when you have all your investments tied up until you’re 60.
SO at age of 23, I should continue maxing out my Roth IRA, solo 401k roth, and HSA? and then invest in my taxable brokerage account ? im focusing on maxing compound interest and tax advantages and sheltering with my time horizon. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for breaking this down so easily. I have one but not maximizing it like I should as a bridge account be so I’ve got work to do!💪🏼
have you ever heard of the rule of 55?? obviously not
You give so much in depth details information , which is perfect for me cause I’m just starting to learn about brokerage accounts, you’ve given and saved me years of research and experience which is worth a hell of lot more than i could put into words, just wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience, your channel is GOATED 🐐 .
401(k)/IRA first, Roth IRA second, then brokerage account. This is the way.
We are 70+ , IRA 800k
we are withdrawing 60K yearly please advice
Thank you
if this dude got dumped men have zero chance 😭
My brokerage is my bridge account for early retirement. You hit the nail on the head!
Cough Roth 401K rollovers become basis in a Roth IRA ask long as you meet the 5 year rule requirements cough.
Are you buying the same etfs or so in taxable account?
wow very helpful thanks for this
I’m in the process of building up my taxable investment accounts. I have a 401k with my job as well as a personal Roth IRA that I just opened.
Cars don’t need to be replaced for 10+ years
Great video, I found out about taxable accounts recently and I am going to love my retirement without worrying about excessive taxes
thank you. I opened a brokager by mistake and freaked out.
2:48 Freedom, that quote is gold (not the ETF)
6:45 Note to self… find that capital gains tax bracket for myself (I think it is still low… because that spread, if I remember right is very wide)
9:10 Facts: I JUST started putting money back a campervan I WOULD HAVE purchased if i thought the family would actually use it!… Gains already coming, it'll be ready for purchase when the kids are old enough to watch themselves and I can see some things
10:20 Doing this as of 01/01/2026, glad to hear it worked for you.
12:40 You just keep saying great things
13:20 F your boss scenario I didn't even think about… thank you for this!
Side note: Those gym gains are looking good too, keep it up bro!
Aren't you Taxed twice on a brokerage Accounts…..once for Dividends the Second when you sell….🤔🤔
Great info!!! Thanks
Love this angle. A high-yield savings account is often ignored, but for emergency funds and short-term goals it’s one of the most powerful pieces of your financial toolkit — safe, liquid, and earning interest. BankTruth helps compare competitive rates.
So you’re saying you’re single?
Wasted wedding ring gang in the house. (Mine I just never gave to her and sold for like a third of what ai paid for it)
Nice video and just what I needed to know. Sure wish you'd share your M1 Finance Pie with us! Love M1. Keep up the great work.
❤❤❤
I like everything you said except that you should prioritize paying taxes later instead of now, with the assumption you will be “saving.” A logical assumption is that taxes will be higher upon retirement and if you invested early that may also put you at a higher tax bracket later in life.
Thanks!
Great work brother 👊
These are key to retiring early. Even a modestly early retirement say at age 50 is impossible without a brokerage! Personally heavily funding my brokerage without maxing my retirement accounts but still increasing those every year too
Hey, Jarrad. FA here in Nashville. Great stuff. Love your videos! New subscriber.
08:50 I dont understand how the retirement plans are the blueprint when you can't access that money til your life is nearly over
"Worked with a girl"? Do you also say "worked with a boy"? How about "worked with a woman"? Isn't that more respectful?
I'm confused is this the same as a mutual fund or ETFs?
